The North Eastern Ohio Education Association (NEOEA) is a professional association of educators working to improve public education in northeastern Ohio by serving the needs of its members. Founded in 1869 as the North Eastern Ohio Teachers Association, NEOEA took its present name in 1989 in recognition of the diversity of its members. With over 33,000 members in 192 local affiliates, NEOEA is the largest district association within the National Education Association and the Ohio Education Association.
